Barrow County- population 53,479-property taxes per $1,000:$28.06- average cost of all homes: $113,500- average cost of new home $135,342
Barrow County is located halfway between Atlanta and Athens. Barrow is the home of Georgia's most visited state park,

Cherokee County named after the Cherokee Indians is located North of Atlanta. Interstate 575 runs through the county making Cherokee County easily accessible to Atlanta. Lake Allatoona is home to Cherokee as well as Kennesaw State University and Reinhardt College. Enjoy a day of shopping at Town Center Mall. The County is extremely scenic with it's rolling foothills.
